Founded in 2006, The USA Mobile Drug Testing (USAMDT®) story began with our Founder and former CEO Joseph Strom speaking with his son, a Syracuse Sherriff’s Deputy, as well as Tampa Police and other local and federal law enforcement agents at his son’s bachelor party. A discussion unfolded of officers doing traffic stops where they were convinced that the driver was “on something” but later could not find anything that confirmed the impaired condition of the driver.
One member of the group said “if only you could call someone to come and test the guy on the spot.” The response from 11 officers at once was, “Who are you going to call?”
Joseph Strom turned that thought into an opportunity. The opportunity became USA Mobile Drug Testing (USAMDT®).
After years of industry research in testing requirements, certification standards, laboratories investigations, product suppliers, training companies, IT specialists, marketing and sales experts, training and franchising specialists… USAMDT was born!
